James Lin
Personal Trainer, Physiotherapy Assistant

I’m James, a Personal trainer, Strength Coach, and Physiotherapy Assistant at Physiothenix. I began my fitness journey at a young age through calisthenics and quickly fell in love with the sport. During my undergraduate years as a Mathematics major at McMaster University, I started taking streetlifting and weighted calisthenics seriously as a competitive pursuit, which led me toward personal training and strength coaching, where I found a deeper passion for helping others. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM, and in the process of becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.


My approach to coaching is rooted in the belief that mindset and personal beliefs are at the core of sustainable change. I specialize in bodyweight movements, focusing on strength-based, evidence-informed training methods to achieve real control over the body. My goal is to create training that is purposeful, adaptable, and empowering by helping people develop a healthier relationship with movement while building strength that carries over into everyday life.
